Motels” |
Area Attractions
Lake Activities:
Our nearby Lake Norfork is known for its clear water
fishing that includes any member of the bass family, bream, walleye, crappie,
and catfish. Swimming is available while boating or at designated swimming
areas around the lake. You can enjoy water skiing, boating, jet skiing or
scuba diving. Rentals, boat slips, and launching facilities are available at
the local marinas. There are several fishing guides who can help make your
fishing more enjoyable.
River Activities:
You can go fishing for trout in the nearby Norfork River, best known for
world class trout fishing. Just a few minutes from the lake there is the
National Fish Hatchery. There is a day area where you can picnic, and you can do
catch and release trout fishing.
Local Activities:
There are
plenty of antique and craft shops to explore minutes from here.
Within an hour you can venture out and explore the many charming towns close
by and go shopping. If you want to take in a movie, Mountain Home
offers a couple of theatres to go to. You can choose from among the many fast
food and fine dining restaurants that are available in town. There are 2 local
golf courses to choose from, work out gyms, shopping, miniature golf, and
parks. There is hunting throughout the year-turkey, deer, and squirrel is some
of the favorites.
Other Activities:
In an hour or less you can go horseback riding, hiking, or biking in
various designated areas of the State. Go to Blanchard Spring Caverns state
park. You will be able to go on a wild cave tour, regular tours, picnicking,
camping, fishing, and hiking. Visit the Historical old Mills, check out the
Wolf House, or Mammoth Springs. Mountain View is the home of The Ozark Folk
Center. You can enjoy the local shops, eateries, and listen to musicians jam
in the park.
Motorcycle Lovers:
For the motorcycle lovers,
you can enjoy all the above with the freedom of low traffic, great scenery,
and there are challenging roads to travel on. We can show you some awesome
local routes, or feel free to discover your own Ozark Adventure.
